Fixing and avoiding imbalances with Dr Crispin Bracefield
We live in an asymmetrical world, meaning we rarely move in a balanced way. We use one hand or foot for many tasks, sleep a certain way etc etc. For the most part this isn't an issue however when it comes to training and loading the body we want to balance our mobility, stability and strength as much as possible. Front to back, left to right, in to out.
Dr Crispin is a sports Chiropractor at CNS Mooloolaba and owner and coach at The Movement functional training gym. Crispin gives us a tiny fraction of his knowledge to help us begin to understand the basic foundations of a balanced body.
CrossFit training while pregnant with Candice Lamb
Knowing how to train through pregnancy can be an uncertain experience. What is enough, too much? Is it dangerous? Should we wrap ourselves in cotton wool?
Pelvic floor specialist physiotherapist and CrossFit Contessa Coach Candice Lamb unpacks a lot of the uncertainty and helps us understand yes you can and should train through pregnancy. We discuss some ways to modify to keep you and your baby safe.
Dealing with and Preventing Injuries
We sit down with Dr Peter Mason, sports Chiropractor and founder of CNS Mooloolaba. We discuss Where do injuries come from? What are the common causes of injuries? How can we avoid them? If we do get injured how do we manage the road back to full training?
Sports chiropractic is an evidence and movement based approach to the body. Assessing how the body moves in the ranges of motion required for activity and making sure there is strength, flexibility and balance where needed and using any proven method to get results.
