Conversation With Alanis Morissette

I am so grateful this podcast is back. Alanis Morissette is so educated on the the topic raised and it is a pleasure to hear her well crafted conversations with her guests. I hope there will be many more episodes to come

I have just discovered this podcast and I like the content and concepts covered but I found the interview with Gabor Mate very frustrating to listen to. Alanis has a quick mind and eloquent conversation and is obviously well researched but I feel that if you have gone to the effort to bring on an expert to talk about an issue it is wise to let them speak and articulate their view (not talk over the top of them). There were many times when Gabor half answered a question but Alanis jumped in to finish what he was saying…often getting it wrong or misinterpreting. Perhaps it was nerves or excitement on her part but for me a good interviewer is one that can step away from their own ego and has the ability to tease out insightful comments from others.

How beautifully curated. Alanis your heart and brilliance shine through every conversation . Thank you for introducing these beautiful teachers to live a more awakened sensitive boundless life. So grateful.

First time listener and struggling to get through the interview with amazing Gabor Mate - the interviewer is continuously interrupting, finishing sentences, and answering for him and I’m finding that this disrupts the point he is trying to make and leaving me feeling very frustrated. I love the enthusiasm but think that the audience could absorb so much more wisdom and information from the guest if they were allowed to take up more space.
