CSP 064: Preventing Burnout with Expanded Practice Conversations In Speech Pathology

    • Education

Every therapist I've ever met has dealt with feelings of burnout from time to time. From productivity pressures to feelings of imposter syndrome, we all struggle to make sense of it all as the years of practice fade into the background. We must regularly take stock of our own emotions and beliefs to prevent the big "B."

Danielle Stoller is a physical therapist who did experience burnout. The subject of today's episode is how she dealt with that hopelessness and found answers to re-establish her passion and drive for her patients. Her journey was made possible with inspiration from Marabeth Quinn, a parent of a client of Danielle's. Together they formed Expanded Practice, a site where therapists can find the support to examine their relationships within and with others.

Thank you, Danielle and Marabeth, for a very thought-provoking episode!
