A restless Matthew Clairmont makes the rounds and pays a few castle calls to the current residents of Sept-Tours. He's on edge, and his friends and family -- rightly -- welcome him back with wary caution. In the end, it takes Diana to bring him to his center (as he does for her). BUT, there's one family member who wonders out loud (to say the least) why Diana Bishop is harboring the blood song of his long-dead father, Philippe de Clermont. Like Matthew, the Daemons are also restless souls in this pandemic, so they take the opportunity to talk A LOT, thus, the lengthy episode! Take it in shifts, or binge it at once! No judgement! Enjoy!

We've dusted off our copies of The Book of Life, opened it to chapter 1, and now we realize how much information this chapter actually contains! Not only do we get a glimpse of what has been going on in Sept-Tours while we were gone, but we get to see the events through different eyes, which paints a larger, more precise picture for us to study. New beginnings, indeed! Take this one in shifts, or power through the whole episode. It's one of the longer ones!

    SON ch 40
Well, it seems we made it to 2010 even before Diana and Matthew did! We see what Marcus, Ysabeau and Sarah are all up to, and get a few revelations that will shock people on their first read, and continue to pain the rest of us as we all witness the various forms of lovesickness infecting Sept-Tours. There's also the pressing matter of Diana sending a message to the world 400 + years in the future via an Elizabethan mathematician/astronomer + a Huguenot clockmaker.

LISTEN TO THIS!

I love this podcast so glad I found you guys keep doing what you’re doing bringing the world of all souls alive!

Elphie853 ,

Just listen to this podcast - it's all that and more.

I found this podcast well after I'd read and re-read and become totally obsessed with the All Souls Books. As a devoted fan, of the books, this podcast had exactly everything I would like: humour, relate-ability, a range of life experience and expertise, empathy, but most importantly and underlying everything is a deep knowledge and of the books and understanding of the complexity of the stories and concepts they raise. Not only do I get my fill of pure geek AST, but I feel like I am listening to friends - my people! I love that I can listen weekly (as a patron) and can chat on FB. I cannot wait to meet you all at the next Daemon Hour. Thank you for enriching my life. Daemon kisses to you all. To anyone considering listening, just listen - you won't regret it for a moment!
