It's a new world. For young people to survive let alone thrive is becoming more of a challenge.

It's the best time to be alive in all of history, crime is at an all-time low in the developed world, information on everything is available to everyone, we have access to clean food and water daily, then why are we all so miserable.

This podcast explores what it is to live and thrive in the 21st century, whether you're a 'millenial' (nowadays just anyone under 30 who is obviously entitled and rude duh!) or younger (also a 'millenial' to anyone older than you). This is a personal journey. Of a high achiever coming to terms with his own humanity, studying philosophy, history and psychology combined with the structure of his engineering background.

A self-proclaimed 'Life Maximalist', Joe has lived in 5 countries, 3 continents, visited over 30 countries, founded 3 businesses, speaks 3 languages, built the tech behind $1.5M in venture capital fund-raising, has achieved over 100% net worth growth year on year for 5 years in investing and entrepreneurship. Having met 1000s of different people from all cultures and personality-types he aims to understand the human experience and how we so quickly have tried to adapt from cave-dwelling hunter-gatherers to Quantitative Trading and Virtual Reality Environment Designers.

We're out of our depths - let's find our feet.

Learn to create multiple sources of self-esteem, and build frameworks to reinforce them.

    More Haste, Less Speed

    More Haste, Less Speed

We have successfully fetishised busyness over business. Society is focused on sacrifice instead of outcomes. Altruism and success have become binaries of each other. It’s the perception of progress that we’re addicted to, not actual progress. In the face of this reality the question looms in the back of our minds: How can you actually […]

    Setting North Star Goals

    Setting North Star Goals

A north-star goal: A single well-defined goal that you can look up at, and see if you’re heading in the right direction. All other goals are milestones taking you closer to this final goal. It comes from the North Star, Polaris, in the sky that you can follow when lost, you can reorient yourself just […]

    Waiting to be a hero

    Waiting to be a hero

We are plagued by Protagonism. Protagonism: The belief that we are the ‘main character’ of the story, that important things will happen in front of us and all other people are side characters or NPCs. I’ve lived my whole life from my own perspective. And, you’ve lived your whole life from your own perspective. We […]

    Why knowing something isn’t enough

    Why knowing something isn’t enough

What does it mean to believe something? How is it different to knowing something? “What do I believe in?” A question I dance with regularly. What do you believe in? Is it the things that bubble up in our mind when we ask ourselves that question? Today we’re going to dive into how to get […]

The pain of fear, and the fear of pain

The pain of fear, and the fear of pain

What is fear, really? What is pain, really? What is their relationship? Listen to the pain, it connects you to reality.  Pain is a signal from the body that something is wrong. It helps you preemptively avoid mortal risks. If we didn’t have pain you’d likely have died a long time ago. Or more likely […]

Letting perfect get in the way of good

Letting perfect get in the way of good

You must pass through the valley of good to become great, but striving for perfection stops you from becoming good. You become frozen in fear of failure.
