And that’s what we’re here to help you achieve. On the show today Cass and Annaliese are joined by Rachel Voysey from the Relationship Room to walk us through how to have a civil relationship with your ex.

Divorce advice for the wealthy
With regards to your discussion with Legal Aid. When my husband left me we had a 500000 mortgage, two small children, I was a stay at home mum with no child care or family support, and I had no money to pay for a lawyer. I had to borrow money from family members to pay the mortgage and living expenses. The plan was to sell the house, however this takes time and requires money up front as well. I reached out to Legal Aid many times and many other support services and none of them would help me because I was in my own home. This led to an emotional breakdown as I was pretty much left to fend for myself and every month borrow more money to not default on the loan and a decade on I have not fully recovered.
