Ramon is a PK, a pastor's kid and he shares his early life and his later struggle to find his own faith. He shares about being a husband and father in church, yet not connecting with God and even experiencing depression to the point of contemplating suicide. We discuss the concept of depression in church, particularly among mature men and what it sometimes takes to break free of that bondage and find refreshment in Christ again. It might be the motivation when a child goes astray, or it might be something else.
Ramon talks about Entrepreneurial Depression. He recommends mentorship, having someone to talk to, getting professional help where needed and spiritual help. It is demonic as well as natural. An overload of stress leads to burnout and potentially depression. Yet there is often a catalyst that jolts us into seeking God for answers we desperately need. If it's not for our own sake, it may be for a child who has gone astray. Ramon shares the habits that help him keep him thinking clearly and staying healthy.
