Debra has written a book, Jokes and the Linguistic Mind (2011), exploring the art of joke-making through the lens of cognitive science, and with Marc Mierowsky writes extensively on stand-up in Jewish comedy, with particular reference to Joan Rivers and Sarah Silverman.
