In this episode of Leading with Student Acitivities Bruce interviews Madelyn Giles, the Director of the Freshman Leadership Advisory Council (FLAC) the representative body that oversees the 20 Freshman Leadership Organizations (FLOs). FLOs account for more than 10% of the experience of each freshmen class at Texas A&M by providing membership opportunities to 1,200+ students a year and 400+ student leadership roles. One of many areas of FLAC is the coordinated recruitment process which in 2020 was handled 100% virtual for the first time and led to more than370,000 impressions on instagram and in the end there were 5,600 applications submitted!
