I know firsthand how much energy, time, and attention it can take to be worried about your weight, to be constantly dabbling in different diets or tracking your calories, carbs, whatever it is that you happen to be tracking. It's a huge energy drain. And so in preparing the show today, we wanted to make part of the title Transforming Your Life because similarly to how freeing up your digestive system with easier to digest foods frees up so much energy for your body to repair, to heighten your immunity, your endocrine system functionality, your collagen repair, so on and so forth, when you really dial it in to make your weight maintained in a much easier way, it really is life changing.
And again, I say this from personal experience. When I learned how to maintain my weight, I started all these creative endeavors. I started creating the world, the website, the blog, and going back and learning about nutrition and working with clients. And there were these creative explosions happening. And I really want you to experience the same thing for your life to open up because our soul has a bigger purpose towards self-growth and tapping into our potential and the True Self. We don't want to spend a lot of our life worrying about our weight. Today I'm going to be giving you some real tips and takeaways, research and very solid perspectives of how to really keep the weight off, maintain your weight for the long-term across our Four Cornerstones.

I've been on quite a journey, which has resulted in us really building out these Four Cornerstones that we talk about so much here on our podcast and our community at Solluna, our wellness brand. The Cornerstones are food, body, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual growth. And all of these components of our lifestyle work together to really nourish our health, to build our vibrancy, our vitality, our natural beauty, our creativity, our success at work, with relationships, and many other parts of our life. All things.
And food is something that whilst it isn't the end all be all, it is a very important part of health and self-love. It's an important component of being able to attain higher levels of inner peace and success in your meditation practice and in your spiritual growth journey.
I personally believe, and that is one of the reasons that all the great yoga gurus and masters and teachers, including Paramahansa Yogananda, who has had such a profound impact on my life personally, have always taught about diet. The foods that you eat have the ability to elevate your energy. They have the ability to change your life.
And on the other hand, if they are congestive foods, processed, heavy, difficult to digest and break down, they actually clog your body and they clog your potential. They keep you from being in your highest light. Literally, the body exudes light. There are electromagnetic fields coming off our bodies, around our hearts and our brains - a field around us. And if we eat living plant foods we can really make a difference in our lives, which is what I'll be talking about on today's show.

And we don't always hear positive things about marriage today. There's a lot of people that believe it's not necessary or that cohabitation is fine and replaces marriage and all of that. Of course, we completely respect all of that is fine. We respect everyone's personal beliefs. However, today we wanted to share why marriage has been so amazing in our lives. Many of us are interested in meditation and the benefits, including, to feel more peace, more groundedness, more clarity, more energy in the morning and throughout our days. However, when it comes to actually practicing meditation, we may often run into some challenges. I know I very much did when I started meditating over 13 years ago.
I remember sitting and having a really challenging time getting myself to sit and my mind would wander and my body had a really difficult time staying in one place. I remember the twitching, the micro movements, the imagined itches and the fidgeting. And it really does take consistency and practice to really follow through with meditations and then allow them to get deeper and richer and to get more of the benefits that we're looking for and then to experience those benefits regularly.
Having a deeper meditation practice really is so worth working on. It creates so many benefits in your life from more connection with yourself and to others, more intuition, more clarity. It's a deeper sense of confidence. And as I mentioned, the practical intuitive part is just knowing more what to say, what to eat, what direction to go in.
It's a really powerful practice and there isn't one part of my life honestly that hasn't benefited. I feel more connected in my relationships. I feel more peaceful. I feel just happier all around. And there's nothing more than I would want for you to also experience that.

Kimberly, I’ve noticed I’m getting so frustrated when it comes time to meditate that I end up not doing my practice. It could be that I’m not really noticing the benefits. Can you share any tips that can help get me back on track and be more consistent?
