Erudite and entertaining
This is an excellent film podcast, good combination of erudite and entertaining as the host Lady P and her guests work their way through the films on the Sight and Sound critics poll. A good project for aspiring cinephiles would be to watch the films on the S&S list and then listen to Lady P and friends' take on each of these cinematic masterprieces.
Clever and Witty Film Podcast
An excellent film podcast. Lady P and her impressive assortment of guests discuss the films of the Sight and Sound critics list of the greatest 250 films of all time. Each episode discusses a film on the list starting from #1 "Vertigo". The discussions are interesting and animated, with great humour. Following the discussion of each film from the S&S list is a topic either related to that film or to the guest from that episode. To break up the often overly serious S&S list, there are regularly placed episodes of "Flixwise Favourites" which cover films not in the critic's list, but beloved by the hosts, these episodes have included such notable often under-rated classics as "Airplane!", "Heathers", "Cabaret" and "Starship Troopers". Recommended.
