    Our club and clubs all around the world are full of women who are just as avid sportspeople and supporters of the GAA as their male counterparts. But if you listened to our first episode on the history of the GAA, you may have heard that in the strictest sense, the GAA is an organization for men. Currently, the GAA has sister organizations—the Ladies' Gaelic Football Association and the Camogie Association—that govern the sports for women. So how do we reconcile the essential part of our games and clubs that women represent with this governance structure? To dig into this, and the unique perspectives of women in modern Gaelic games, we speak with Dr. Aoife Lane, Head of the Department of Sport & Health Sciences at the Athlone Institute of Technology, and Bridget McCarthy, one of the DC Gaels' camogie coaches.
