Welcome to our discussion on The Goodies in their 'second home' of Australia!
We talk about screening histories, the (seemingly) endless repeats across the 1980s and one of the more unusual places the series was screened. Plus, a discussion on the stage tours in the 2000's - and to cap it all off, 3 guests discussing the Goodies Rule OK fanclub and 'A Record Or An OBE', the unofficial stage show!

The podcast covers, in chronological order, each episode of The Goodies from 1970-1982, with frequent detours into the myriad spin-offs and side roads the Goodies and their fans took at times- I especially enjoyed the deep dives into various aspects of Goodies fandom, particularly the massive impact the show had on a generation of Australians who grew up on the show in the 1970-1980s and beyond.
Each podcast uses the same structure of a run through the episode under focus, including key moments, guest actors and stats before exploring themes such as tropes, firsts and lasts, the crackup “what couldn’t they get away with today” and each presenters personal opinion of the ep, which can be often be surprisingly and entertainingly divergent at times.
The Goodcast consists of the Super Chaps Three, Dave, Rob, Richard with frequent guests including Tom and Mark, and have an easygoing bantering style clearly born out of deep shared affection for the show.
So if you’re a fan of the Goodies, then this podcast will be for you.
The memories will flood back faster than you can say Run! (And yes, I am obviously another Australian fan). Many thanks to all involved.

A brilliantly informative podcast for one of my favourite shows. While I don’t always agree with their opinion I respect it enough because I know they appreciate the show for what it is. My only criticism is that the sound quality is poor and can’t always hear everyone clearly.

Fantastic time for fans of The Goodies. Takes me back to tea time in the 70's & 80's. Love the guys in depth but irreverent approach
