To say we were excited to have Craig 'Fitzy' Fitzgibbon in the shed for this weeks podcast is an understatement. An avid surfer, Jui Jitsu Practitioner and Lennox Head resident - Fitzy also happens to have had one of the most storied careers in Roosters History, playing and coaching in 7 Grand Finals (winning 4) and becoming one of only 30 life members in the clubs 112 year History. After serving his coaching apprenticeship under some of the best in the business in Trent Robinson (Roosters), Brad Fittler (State of Origin) & Tim Sheens (Australia) Fitzy decided it was time step out on his own and take over the Head Coaching reins of the Cronulla Sharks, a club in which his Dad Coached some 30 years ago.In this weeks podcast, we dive into what makes the Roosters one of the premier sporting organisation throughout Australia, the multifaceted job that is being NRL Head Coach and what he hopes the Cronulla Sharks will stand for after season 2022. All in all, Fitzy personifies loyalty, dedication and toughness and if a bit of that rubs off on this young Cronulla chargers, then they will be mighty hard to beat in the years to come.
