JOIN THE UNSPOKEN: https://patreon.com/SoberlySpeaking Patricia came on to talk about domestic violence. What unfolded was something else entirely. Two months and one day after her sister Constance was killed in a car accident in South Australia, Patricia's son Corey died by suicide. He was not yet 25. She watched colleagues turn around and walk the other way when they saw her coming. Grief has a hierarchy whether we like it or not. Patricia knows that better than most. She is now a death doula, a counsellor, and the author of a book for every woman who has ever been made to feel too broken to leave. Trigger warning: this episode contains discussion of suicide and domestic violence.
