GrumpyOZRetro Ep#006 - Chris Arneil (National Film & Sound Archive) GrumpyOZRetro - Australian vintage computing and retrogaming podcast
-
- Technology
Chris Arneil is an archivist with the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra, specialising in Australian computer software. Craig recently caught up him to discuss his work, along with his own experiences with gaming.
This episode features our very first interstate field report, courtesy of Marc Falconer from Brisbane Amiga Retro (thanks Marc!), along with a belated update from ARC.
BTW the delay with this episode is all Tony's fault. He just bought a house that needs recapping and retrobriting. This will affect the release schedule of future episodes, so the next episode will be here when it's ready.
Don't forget you can hit us up at grumpyozretro.com if you've got something to say, as well as the comments feed on this episode over on the OzRetrocomp YouTube channel.
Thanks for listening and stay retro.
Craig & Tony

Tec1-G launch at the Australian Computer Museum Society in Sydney.
It was live streamed and the video is available on the Australian Computer MuseumYT page https://www.youtube.com/@australiancomputermuseum … only 280 odd subs, so it’s an underdog. Well worth checking out.
