    When You're Not Changing

    When You're Not Changing

Are you frustrated because you're not making the changes with food and body that you want?
When changing your eating habits, you will have moments where you believe: "I'm not making any changes. It's not working."
This frustration is natural. You have a brain that is wired to seek out problems and solve them.
What you need to know: It's not that nothing is working.
It's that you have a low tolerance for failure, shame, and messy progress.
In this episode, I'm sharing what to do when you're feeling like you're not making the changes with food that you want. I'm also discussing how you can become someone who tolerates these thoughts when you're on the way to healthier eating and weight loss.
Because having these thoughts when changing your eating habits is typical and expected. They're not a problem. They only become a problem when you let them interfere with the progress you're already making.

    Shame

    Shame

If you’re a high-achieving woman, you most likely learned to achieve goals by shaming yourself when you did things wrong.
It may have worked in the past, but it’s stopped being effective with food and body. You feel tired, burnt out, and totally spent. Which causes you to shame yourself even more.
It may not be obvious that shaming yourself is the cause of your lack of progress. It will present as if you’re the problem, you don’t know the right things to eat, you don’t have enough time, etc.
But what shaming yourself ultimately creates? A total lack of tolerance for your humanness. You will not allow yourself to make mistakes, judge yourself when you do it wrong, and neglect to meet your own needs.
In this episode, I’m sharing how to know if you’re stuck in a shame cycle with food, and what you’ll need to focus on to move out of it.
Because, to create permanent changes with food and body, you will need to learn how to meet your own needs as a human. This requires us to give up blaming and shaming our way to success.

    Healthy Eating Burnout

    Healthy Eating Burnout

Many of my clients come to me burnt out. They feel like they have a total lack of energy when it comes to eating healthy.
Which worries them, because they think: “If I don’t have energy left to give, how will I possibly create the results I want?”.
This is the kicker. Because diet culture taught you that to change the way you eat, you have to put in more effort. That you have to restrict, willpower, and suffer to the results you want.
So, you did. You spent more time, effort, and energy attempting to stick to methods of eating that required more from you. Which has left you feeling totally burnt out and spent — with little results to show for it.
Can you relate? If so, your struggles are valid. Your burnout makes sense. And, it doesn’t mean the results you want with food and body aren’t possible.
It simply means you will need to change your eating habits by partnering with yourself, rather than working against yourself. This means changing the way you eat in a way that requires less from you.
In this episode, I’m sharing what healthy eating burnout looks like and how you can begin changing your approach to healthy eating to a one that requires less from you.
This approach means you’re giving energy back to yourself in the process – rather than burning yourself out.

    Body Expectations

    Body Expectations

Ask Yourself: What are the expectations you will have of your body when you eat healthy and lose weight?
What will you demand from your body in return for the effort you put in?
To change your results with your body, you will need to change your relationship with your body.
    It’s a non-negotiable first step.
Many of us start with an expectant and transactional relationship to our body, where we believed we’re “owed the changes we want” from it. This mindset will only lead to discouragement and frustration. It will compel you to quit even if you’re making progress towards your goals.
Instead, you want to transition from expectation to a relationship where you meet your body’s needs.
In this episode, I’m sharing how to change your relationship to your body, what to do with your negative body thoughts, and when you can expect love for your body to become available.

    Fueling Your Goal

    Fueling Your Goal

Consider: How will you choose to fuel your food and body goals this year?
To create the results you want, you will need to take different actions with food. And, the quality of your food actions will be determined by the emotions you use to fuel them.
    Read that again.
In the new year, most will feel compelled to fuel their food actions from motivation. As most of us already know, this heightened state of motivation is short-lived. It’s not sustainable emotional fuel. We cannot rely on motivation for long-term goals.
Because, you are an eater for life. You have a body for life. You cannot rely on short-term emotional fuel to take action with food and body. You must learn to create sustainable emotional fuel that lasts.
In other words, to make your food and body goals inevitable this year, you will need to learn how to create sustainable emotional fuel that compels you to show up to healthy eating — long after the new year has passed.
In this episode, I’m sharing how to determine if you’re currently fueling your goals in a useful or non-useful way. You’ll learn what sustainable goal fuel looks like, so you can make the results you want with food and body inevitable.

    Quick Fix Healthy Eating

    Quick Fix Healthy Eating

A fair question: Why not choose a quick-fix weight loss method if it technically produces the results I want?
Here’s the thing. Whether you choose a short-term or long-term method for healthy eating and weight loss isn’t a moral decision. There’s no right or wrong. It gets to be your choice.
But, there are long-term side effects of resorting to these methods that you should know before diving in.
In this episode, I’m walking you through why we’re attracted to quick-fix methods, along with the main long-term side effects you can expect when you do them.
There is no one right way to eat healthy and lose weight; however, you want to be informed of what to expect from each method you decide to partake in.
This way, you can begin to create your own version of healthy eating that is sustainable and enjoyable for you.
