Here's Why Your Purpose Is Not In The Future | Conversation With A Shaman (The Best of The Menopause Movement Podcast Episode 28‪)‬ Launch Your Life Podcast

    • Mental Health

There are truths I didn't think I would ever say.

One of them is we're all on a spiritual path, whether we want to believe it or not. Even the most ardent atheist is on their own spiritual path.

When I was in high school, I was like a crazy Jesus freak. Then I kind of slipped away from it because the church didn't treat me well.

But it was when I saw that there's always availability for something bigger that I started to see the world that we live in is something that we've created.

And we have the ability and the opportunity to change everything just based on how we see things.

Whether you call it God, energy or the universe…

We only see the world through the filter of the box that we are in, and not everybody understands that the magic happens outside of it.

Some of us love to be philosophical and keep everything in our head.

But what we are missing is application.

We need integration, embodiment, and empowerment.

And the best spiritual practice is how you are living your life.

I talk more about that in today’s episode of The Best of The Menopause Movement Podcast with Makhosi Candiss Pitts as she shares her life-changing experience, from the difficulty of conception to dropping out of medical school to pursue a spiritual journey.

During the interview we discussed her infertility journey, her brief encounter with menopause, how hormone imbalances affected her pregnancy, PLUS:

The importance of detaching from outcome to achieve desired results
The definition of shaman and how without a cultural context, it's almost impossible to define
How spiritual gifts are available to anyone, but not all are called to the path of the shaman
The importance of gratitude in everyday life
The questions people ask about fulfillment
The definition of purpose, why it's important and how it's impossible to think yourself to a purpose
