Pappy Hour: Damned if you Do, Damned if you Don‘t with Andrew Pap & Heston Russell
Andrew Pap (Mr Motivation) is back on the podcast, for a new regular addition dubbed “Pappy Hour” - where Heston & Pap will talk about controversial and relevant topics. They believe constructive conversations with sometimes opposing views are missing from the way we relate and have decided to simply get together over Pappy Hour, to have more of them.
They kick it off with this episode tackling conversations on:
- Pap’s journey since they last spoke around a year ago
- Struggle to become pregnant (Pap & his wife… not Heston)
- Breaking the influencer narrative and having an opinion online
- The System
- Anxiety driven actions and behaviours
Enjoy the episode, this one was just the warm up.

Politics of Opportunity with Julia Gillard
There’s a difference between getting told “you can do it” and actually getting the mental image of yourself in that place. The mindset required to achieve elite levels of high performance, isn’t for the faint hearted. It was just 10 years ago that Heston took the then Prime Minister Julia Gillard over to Afghanistan and today in a slightly different circumstance - they sit down together again and bring a refreshing conversation of authenticity, nostalgia and opportunity.
This podcast was recorded on Friday August 13th 2021. Two days before the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan and the scenes we have since seen in Kabul.
- When Heston met Julia
- When your purpose isn’t for the faint hearted
- Growing in confidence
