In our final episode of the season, we talk with Dr. Chamara Kwakye, Assistant Professor of Gender and Women's Studies and African American and Africana Studies at the University of Kentucky. During our chat, we talk about black girlhood, how art and activism align in the classroom, and how it informs a pedagogy of hope.

In episode three, we talk to Dr. Olivia Swedberg Yinger, Assistant Professor of Music Therapy and Director of the Music Therapy Program at the University of Kentucky. Our conversation focuses on the process of coming into racial consciousness, how theory meets practice, and what it means to teach students work through the difficulty of racial dialogue in the classroom.
