The Christadelphians present a three part series showing how Bible prophecies from thousands of years ago impact the Middle East conflict right now. Palestinians gained their name from the ancient Philistines who lived in the area around modern-day Gaza. Bible prophecies speak of this looming last-day conflict involving Gaza, Lebanon and Israel, just prior to the Battle of Armageddon. The battle will centre on the future of Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock. The Bible shows how Jesus Christ will return to judge the world in righteousness and bring a time of peace and harmony for all mankind, ruling the world from Jerusalem for a thousand years. In this time, Jews and Arabs, indeed all the world, will be blessed by the presence on earth of God’s Son, our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. The present conflicts in Israel and many other places are signs that the Lord’s return is near, and we must be living our lives in faithful godly ways as we wait patiently for his coming.
