It’s Just A Story, Don’t Lose Your Head‪!‬ Gruesome Gossip

    • True Crime

Does anyone else remember that children’s scary story book called In A Dark, Dark Room? I LOVED that book, but to this day story number 3... also known as The Green Ribbon... also known as the story that kept me from a peaceful night’s sleep for weeks... still gives me chills.
I don’t know if it was the creepy artwork that accompanied the story or the fact that I was absolutely NOT PREPARED for how dark the ending is that made this story stick with me. What I can tell you is that it is pure nightmare fuel. Maybe you’ve never heard of The Green Ribbon before, but if you have then you know exactly what I’m talking about... or maybe you’d been able to bury it somewhere deep in your subconscious and BAM now it’s back. You’re welcome!
This week I talk about the origins of this infamous story and it’s dark ties to the French Revolution. Then Britany dives a bit deeper during the Morbid Curiosities segment and we learn even more dark history facts about the French Revolution, but don’t lose your head, they’re just stories... right?
