Katrina Brownlee, 18, thought she hit the jackpot when she met her boyfriend, correctional officer, Alex Irvin, but she soon realizes that is not the case.  Alex becomes increasingly abusive and in 1992,  a pregnant Katrina takes her two daughters and leave Alex as a result.  After about a month, Alex manages to sweet talk her back.... but when she arrives, she is not met with anything remotely sweet.

Rosaline decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a nurse and had just enrolled in college for the upcoming Fall semester. But her dreams were curtailed on May 26, 2013 when Rosaline leaves her house and doesn’t return. Her disappearance shocked her community of Pontiac, Michigan. Shaniya Davis should have been occupied with 5 year old things, like starting kindergarten or playing with her friends.  But, her upbringing provided unique challenges.  Her mother was battling a drug addiction and as such, was not fit to be a parent.  As a result, Shaniya was raised primarily by her dad, Bradley, from around age 1 to age 5.  But in September 2009, the living arrangements change and Shaniya is impacted by this decision in a horrific way.
