    Alana Low sperm count IVF

    Alana Low sperm count IVF

Alana shares with me her infertility story, which is the inspiration behind her beautiful childrens book called The Magic Baby Lab. Alanas journey began after trying naturally for almost a year with no success. Further investigations were undertaken and her husband was found to have low sperm count. They decided the best chance of success was IVF/ICSI, and that’s how two magical babies were created.

Em PCO Unexplained infertility Cancelled cycle IVF

Em PCO Unexplained infertility Cancelled cycle IVF

In todays episode, I sit down and chat with Em from @not.another.bad.egg. Her story so far is an interesting one! Her patience and resilience will pay off as her story continues.

The part that got my jaw dropping to the floor was that she didn’t respond to the popular IVF drug Orgalutran... absolutely devastating!
Ems story still continues, you can follow along on @not.another.bad.egg and also read more stories on infertility and pregnancy loss shared by other women around Australia. Be part of the movement! We are starting conversations and reducing the stigma around infertility!
Thanks Em! Wish you all the best and I look forward to your updates.

    Taleeha PCOS OI IVF

    Taleeha PCOS OI IVF

Taleeha retells her IVF tale. After trying to fall pregnant naturally for a year with no success, they sought help from a specialist, where she was diagnosed with PCOS. Taleeha experienced irregular periods and found it hard to track her ovulation. The first recommendation was to try OI which they did for many months with no success. It was time to see a fertility specialist, and further investigations were undertaken, which still gave no other reason for infertility. IVF was the next step. Taleehas story is a perfect example of ’it only takes one’ as they fell pregnant on their first IVF cycle.

    Jade Endometriosis Laparoscopy IVF

    Jade Endometriosis Laparoscopy IVF

Jade talks to me all the way from the other side of the world. Many LOL and WTF moments in this one! Jade hilariously retells her IVF journey and the inspiration behind her memoir The good news is... you don’t have Endometriosis.
Seeking help from multiple specialists, Jade had success with IVF and now has a beautiful 2 month old girl. Oh and she does actually have Endometriosis (another example of how important it is to advocate for yourself)

You can purchase her book on Amazon and Kindle.

    Maraea PCOS Miscarriages Clomid IVF

    Maraea PCOS Miscarriages Clomid IVF

Todays episode Maraea talks about her infertility journey. Being diagnosed with PCOS at a young age, she knew she would likely need help to fall pregnant. Maraea would sometimes go over a year without a period, so it was almost impossible to track her cycle. Seeking advice from a fertility specialist the first step was to do a Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy, however before organising to do this she fell pregnant naturally. Maraea goes into depth about her miscarriages, clomid cycles and failed transfers. She also sought a 2nd option from another fertility specialist who ordered even more testing. Maraeas journey still continues. It was an absolute pleasure talking to Maraea, after ending the recording we spoke for another 30 minutes or so, it was another episode on its own! Wishing you all the best Maraea.

Worth a try

Most people who succeed with IVF do so within the first 3 cycles. If you’re brand new to IVF, go ahead and have a listen, but if you’ve had a long journey and are still on it, maybe don’t listen to the hosts’ stories as it will not help. A lot of people don’t have as easy a time.
