Shelter My Child: Too Much Information

Shelter My Child: Too Much Information

A lot of times we want to know why? We want all the information that we can get because we feel that the new information will complete us, make us whole and make up for the missing pieces of our lives. Question for you? How do you already handle the information that you already know about your life? Are you at peace with what you know? If not, let’s say you did get all the information that you think you to “complete your life” ..now this is what I call information overload and now you have to process what you already knew and the new information that you just received. How do you think that’s gonna make you act or feel... especially if it’s information that’s true but you weren’t prepared to receive it.

Shelter My Child...What Was Put In Must Come Out

Obviously it takes patience and it takes time and when your purpose is to be there in the mist of the storm for these teens when no one else will take on this challenge. You are amazing parents, teachers, counselors and anyone that is purposed to do this work....keep doing what you do, These teens need you.

    Shelter my child

    Shelter my child

Shelter my Child is here providing creative coaching to foster and adopted teens ages 13 to 18. We understand that these years are truly critical in shaping young adults they are becoming. We also bridge the gap of understanding by identifying key issues, setting goals and providing support and encouragement so they know they are not going through this by themselves. Our main focus is home lifestyle of stability, consistency and routine activities which aid in the youth preparing to work towards self sufficiency and to live on their own as adults. With the use of creative arts skits, role play and so much more......The youth will learn to deal with disappointments and how to continue with their daily routines such as work, school activities or various life commitments despite the transitions happening in their lives. We also travel and participate in various activities and events because we want to make sure that no one misses out on family fun and fellowship which is another opportunity to learn enrichment and life skills. No matter what, we here at Shelter My Child learn how to love ourselves through no matter what the situation maybe.
