Lisa interviews Nina Purewal about the book she co-authored with Kate Petriw, Let That Sh*t Go: Find Peace of Mind and Happiness in Your Everyday.
In Nina's words: I am the founder of Pure Minds, a social enterprise focused on wellness, and the bestselling author of Let That Sh*t Go. I spent the majority of my career in sales & marketing. A decade ago I hit a peak point of stress sparked by the corporate grind so I did something drastic - moved to Northern California for a year to unplug and live in an ashram. I wanted to see if there was a way to take ancient wisdom and apply it to modern day stressors - turns out, there is!
Let That Sh*t Go is filled with over 100 tips on how to find more peace and happiness in your everyday. It’s covers topics like the racing mind, self-smack talk, accepting what we can’t control, shifting our perspective, being true to you, forgiveness and finding your tech zen. It also touches on the power of practising mindfulness and meditation to find your calm.
We talk about how to cultivate forgiveness in the most horrific situations, how to work through negative thoughts, how to find more peace and happiness in the present moment through mindfulness, how to let that sh*t go and much more.
This interview brought both Nina and Lisa to tears as Nina shared the life shattering tragedy that happened to her family when she was 16. In order to get the gravity of how amazing Nina is, please listen to this interview.
