Welcome to another episode of Level Up Podcast with Jemimah Ashleigh and Tim Hyde, following up from an incredible interview with Sam Reilly, with Jemimah and Tim’s top take aways, including Jemimah’s marriage declaration to Gary Vaynerchuck.

Jemimah and Tim chat about implementing, reflecting and then learning from what they’ve done and how that impacts their business and regular business reviews. Tim shares his business reflection process and what he specifically looks for in the reflection: if he achieved the goals he set himself, and if not, why not? Did something unexpected crop up? Or is there a deeper lesson to learn?

The episode takes a deep dive into decision making, and learning from mistakes and bouncing back from uncertainty, and a great update on Tim’s business and a big pivot he’s undertaken – including fears about changes to his pricing and packages that left a significant gap in cashflow. Level Up Podcast - How to Make Coffee Meetings Effective - Episode 8

Level Up Podcast - How to Make Coffee Meetings Effective - Episode 8

Tim and Jemimah are back with another episode of Level Up Podcast, today talking all about on of the biggest mistakes business owners make: not valuing their time enough.

So why are coffee meeting so dangerous, when do you cancel them and when do you attend them? Jemimah and Tim are here to guide us through this minefield.
    Pick a good place
    Set a time frame
    Know your worth.

Jemimah shares a powerful story with us about the minute she decided she would no longer do coffee meetings – and how its changed the way she operates in business, and Tim shares his thoughts on travelling to meet people, and considering your return on investment.

Tim and Jemimah want to hear from you – what are your experiences with coffee meetings? Share the good, the bad, the terrible and the wonderful by getting in touch on the links below!

    TOP 5 LESSONS

You have to pick a good place to have your café meeting – with good and healthy food. If you’re meeting people regularly, you need to look after your health.

Set a time limit and stick to it. If the other person wants to run over that and does not respect your time, it says more about them than you.

Set an agenda and play the game of “What’s the Deal?” – then you know why you’re meeting and that will change the conversation.

Consider your return on investment and establish the expectations of the meeting upfront.

You have to value your own time and worth even if others don’t.

    QUOTES

    “I’m a coffee bandit.” Jemimah

“We do free things all the time, we have to value our time. Your giving so much away for free and buying your own coffee.” -Jemimah

“There are two types of people. The Done For Yous and the DIY’ers.” - Tim

“Sometimes a coffee meeting is necessary to build a relationship with someone.” -Jemimah

“I’ve converted my coffee chats to Skype or Zoom. Having a clear agenda means I can bang out three meetings an hour rather than one every two hours.” -Tim

“If the conversation is going really well, be cognizant of the time frame set. It goes a long way.” -Tim

Level Up - Sum of 5 People - Episode 6

Level Up - Sum of 5 People - Episode 6

Welcome to episode 6 of the Level Up Podcast with Jemimah Ashleigh and Tim Hyde, this week talking about “The Sum of 5 People”.

First coined by the man who trained Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, the saying goes “You are the Sum of the 5 People You Spend the Most Time With”. So, when was the last time you thought about the five people you spend the most time with, and the influence they have on your life?

This is one of Jemimah’s favourite topics to talk about, and you’ll hear through the episode tips and tricks for identifying who your sum of 5 are now, and how to change them – and to perfectly illustrate the impact these people have on your life and business, Jemimah and Tim refer to a study right of Stanford University, USA.

So who are the five people that you admire and spend the most time in your business and life? What qualities do they possess that you like or don’t like? What lessons can we learn from celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Will Smith?

This episode will challenge you to evaluate the people you surround yourself, and ask you to decide – are these people who fan your flames or are they bringing you down?

    TOP 5 LESSONS
Your sum of 5 people do not need to be people you spend physical time with. You can spend time with them on their blog, on a podcast or a video, or with books.
You’ll naturally attract your sum of 5 people initially without realizing.
Be honest about the influential people in your life – and clearly identify where you are and where you aspire to be.
Ensure your sum of 5 people matches what you want.
It doesn’t need to be complicated. You just need to start.

    QUOTES

“You won’t spend physical time with them, you spend time with their ideas in books and podcasts.”

“Don’t lie to yourself. There’s a lot of people playing too small because their too scared to try.”

“This will help you determine who you spend your time with.”

    “There is no accidental success.”

“It doesn’t have to be congruent right now. Now, you’re awake and you can make some changes.”
