Each episode, Mary and Angie will focus on one area of library work, discuss library news stories, recommend some books, and share a Spotlight Library that is doing some interesting work.

    Afton State Park was established in 1969. This park has a Visitor's Center with interpretative displays, as many of the parks do. Celebrate the display by reading a book about a museum.

    Frontenac State Park was founded in 1957. This park is known as a wonderful place for bird watching! It's one of the best spots in the country to view birds migrating in the spring and fall.     Maplewood State Park was established in 1963. It has a five-mile Prairie Restoration Auto Tour to enjoy. Drive along the scenic route to observe the wildlife: the park is host to 150 bird species and 50 species of mammals. Let's celebrate that with a book about a road trip.

    Browsing Books: Glendalough State Park

    Glendalough is home to abundant populations of white-tailed deer, raccoon, red fox, and smaller mammals. The park also offers excellent birdwatching for a variety of species of prairie, wetland, and hardwood forest birds.

    Mary spent a great weekend here that was cold outside, but very warm in the heated cabin.

    For this reading prompt, enjoy the hygge feelings by reading a book set, at least partially, in a cabin.
