    Episode 5: Krazy Horse

    Who is Anthony Rauda?

He’s more than a drifter. He’s an aspiring musician and a writer, with a long history of mental-health struggles and an extensive criminal record. He's a committed survivalist, attempting to live completely off the grid and without assistance. He’s been arrested repeatedly with antique firearms and gunpowder.

And he hates the Lost Hills cops.

Nothing changes after episode 1

The sound production on this is top quality but the story goes nowhere.

It sounds like Rauda’s going to get off, but then there’s just 7 more episodes of him being the guy. Interviews reveal a little more information about police negligence, without any payoff.

The series could have been at least a quarter the length. Instead it seems to get self indulgent with moments like camping in the park with no meaningful outcome, and seems to meander through the same case points over and over in a disjointed order.

Lows of the podcast include investigating the crime using tea readings, and a segment ending on the cliffhanger of ‘that’s when I started having dreams about Rauda’ and it never being mentioned again.

It would make for an excellent single episode if it was just edited down to a 30-60minute story.
