Mal Rose - Legendary Australian Motor Racing Privateer

In this Podcast I talk with a man who is regarded as one of our most highly regarded car racing privateers, Mal Rose.

With a career spanning more than 30 years, Mal’s highlights include victories in the Australia Production Car Championship, AMSCAR & V8 Supercar Privateer series, as well as strong performances in AUSCAR, Formula Ford and Truck racing. His real expertise is in 24-hour International Endurance events, boasting 13 consecutive starts at the prestigious Nurburgring 24 Hour race (5 with Aston Martin Racing), as well as being a former Class winner at the Spa Francorchamps, Dubai, Malaysia & Bathurst endurance races.

Over the years he’s raced many cars from Ford Lasers to Holden V8 Supercars, Nissan GTR, Subaru STi, Aston Martin Vantage and Trucks. Mals background is as a car mechanic and hisexpertise in motor racing hasn’t only been driving, but also in building, maintaining and preparing all types of race cars for circuit and rally racing.
