The most comprehensive music theory podcast
A wonderful methodical approach to music theory. Thanks guys
Exactly what was needed
I’m an aspiring songwriter/producer. Upon learning how to use Ableton software, I realised there was a huge missing piece to my songwriting knowledge - music theory. I hit my head against the wall for a while trying to learn from the internet, books, and YouTube videos, but nothing stuck until I found Music Student 101.
Now, I have two friendly boys from Alabama ready to teach me at any moment! I put the tricky episodes on repeat until I grasp the concepts and so far have found nothing that Matt and Jeremy couldn’t explain in a lighthearted, fun and comprehensive way.
You’ve done a great job with this beginner. My songs are that much better for it and I definitely feel a lot smarter. Thank you from the tonic of my heart!
Listening to improve your listening!
Really enjoying this podcast. Easy-going chats walking you through some musical concepts that can be tricky to decipher without plowing through theory books. As a musician, teacher and music appreciater, I have found it incredibly valuable.
