Ending a Civil War with the Gospel

This is an amazing story about how God moved through YWAM to help in the midst of a civil war in Nigeria ...

In the last 14 years more than 62,000 Christians have been killed, and over 5 millions displaced in Nigeria by Islamists. This Christmas over 160 have been killed in attacks on 20 Christian Communities in Central Nigeria on or around Christmas Day.

We have seen what God can do, and how he can affect the hearts of even the most hardened killers. We need to continue to pray that God would have His way in Nigeria, and that they would know the peace that we have through Christ as King.

YWAM Koha Returns on Christmas Eve

Last month we shared with you about the repairs that the MV YWAM Koha required in Lautoka, Fiji, and the amazing provision for those repairs.

The repairs required to the vessel was because of an issue with the drive shaft.

A report from YWAM Ships Managing Director, Marty Emmett stated that, "The drydock and repair work was successful. She returned back to the water on Friday, [December 15]. And then passed a sea trial on Saturday.”

The YWAM Koha departed Fiji on Monday the 18th, and arrived back at it's home port, Vessels Works wharf in Tauranga on Sunday, December 24th.

During it's time in Fiji the vessel was able to provide 1,213 people in Fiji with health services, and 3,891 with dental, optometry, or general medical care.
