    EPISODE 53 - MICHAEL CRAFTER

One of Australian Hardcore's most polarizing people - He's toured the world with numerous bands, he's had a band named after him, he's been a big brother contestant, ran a successful clothing line, and helped lead the charge with Modern Australian Hardcore - helping it break out of Australia and to the rest of the world.

Welcome to Episode 1 of the Original Me Podcast.
The Myage Podcast is still going, but this is something different (under the same umbrella) that i've been wanting to do for a while.
I've always found that Music is THAT much more enjoyable with more context.
Hearing the stories of where musicians were at in their life, where they were drawing inspiration from, details about the recording add that extra bit of insight to the jams they released... Ep1 is with The most Podcasted person in 2020 - Pete Abordi. We talk about Restraint, Last Nerve, No Apologies and with a last minute addition - discuss his new band SMASH and their new music due out any day now.Hope you dig it!

Denise Arkansas ,

For music fans, by a music fan

This is a fantastic long running podcast. Joel’s enthusiasm for music and the people it affects is palpable and no doubt responsible for it’s longevity and success. Based on a lifecycle from the band The Descendents’ songs, Joel drills people’s passion for music over key points in their life to help paint a picture of the way music has informed them over the years. The format is compelling and engaging and just works. It is punk rock based and shares many similarities with the excellent Turned Out A Punk podcast, but with a decidedly Australian bent. Definitely worth dipping your toe in the water to try if you are thinking about it.
