Eye-opening!
As an Australian with one child in a public school and one in a private school this was very eye-opening for me. It seems a lot of people are offended by the use of the colour white in the title, but I guess sometimes the truth hurts. 🤷🏻♀️
Why can we say black but not white?
Not surprised to see the responses below regarding the use of “white people.” Don’t let your discomfort get in the way of this well investigated and captivating podcast about privilege and the secret ways white people benefit from systemic racism.
Stunning
I listened to this podcast with my mouth mostly open. The depth and breadth of the research is unlike anything I’ve encountered in education, let alone podcasting. As a retired Australian teacher I found the examination of this particular Middle School in the wider context of middle schooling in New York eye opening. I also found it a little familiar. Thank you for making me think and examine my comfortable middle class, white privilege.
