    Aja Horsley: Sustainability and superfoods

    Aja Horsley: Sustainability and superfoods

This week's episode is all about the Bees. Bianca Osbourne is joined by the queen bee of Drizzle honey: Aja Horsley. Hailing from Alberta, Canada, Aja is an environmental scientist turned entrepreneur who founded Drizzle honey for the love of honey bees, local agriculture, and natural, healthy products. After getting her degree, she led agricultural research projects, which introduced her to the world of growing agriculture in urban environments (for instance, rooftops, living walls, and more). She worked with restaurants to help move their research along and create healthy recipes with sustainable ingredients. One day, Aja found herself on a rooftop beekeeping project, sampling honey from all over the world. This was the spark that made her fall in love with bees and honey. She recognized the urgent need to support the Canadian honey industry, and the rest is history. Listen to this episode to hear all about the incredible work being done by Drizzle, and how you too can support their sustainable mission.

Marissa Hermer: return to restaurant jitters

The past year has been devastating for businesses, especially so when it comes to restaurants. Today's guest on the #OnMyPlate podcast is Marissa Hermer, restauranteur, cookbook author, and one of the stars of the reality TV show 'Ladies of London.' Now married with three children, Marissa is enjoying the luxuries that come from living in LA, while working on her business and encouraging healthy and adventurous food choices for her kids.
