Her latest book, SIBO Made Simple, helps those newly diagnosed or chronically fighting small intestine bacterial overgrowth. Phoebe’s work has appeared in Food & Wine, Marie Claire, SELF, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Mind Body Green.

Elizabeth is an associate professor of security studies at Georgetown University and the author of Widen The Window: Training Your Brain and Body To Thrive During Stress and Recover From Trauma. She’s the creator of Mindfulness-Based Mind Fitness Training (MMFT)® – and her research has been featured on 60 Minutes, ABC Evening News, NPR, and in Time magazine, among others. An award-winning author and U.S. Army veteran with service in Asia and Europe, she holds degrees from Yale, Harvard, and MIT. She’s also a certified practitioner of Somatic Experiencing, a body-based trauma therapy.

    In this episode, Elizabeth and I discuss how we can begin to mend fractured relationships due to political choices (or move on from them), the survival brain vs. thinking brain, how the stress of the past year may have triggered or resurfaced past trauma, feeling powerless, and reminding ourselves that we will not have to live this way forever.

Daphne Javitch episode

I listened to the Daphne Javitch interview and it was frustrating to hear the host start most responses with “I think” and simply launch into her own opinions rather than delve deeper into Daphne’s responses and the ideas that were there to be explored. Half the time I don’t know that she was even properly “hearing” what Daphne had to say.

When I heard your podcast with Dr Grundy it opened up the thought of cutting out lectins in my diet, (which I had never even heard of before until I heard this!) & though I love beans & am particularly obsessed with making hummus. I’ve cut lectins out for 8 days now..& my stomach pain has considerably dropped, thanks to you. Again. Again & again. You legit are just amazing.
