TRIGGER WARNING: CHILDHOOD ABUSE (SEXUAL AND PHYSICAL)

In this week's episode, Kayde reflects on his childhood, current events happening with his mother, and tries to make sense of the motivation behind his mothers actions. He talks, at length, at what he hopes to achieve as a father and also how he can be better than those who came before him. Kayde also thinks out loud about how he plans to provide a life for his children that he never received himself: a life full of unconditional love, compassion and support.

This episode does get a bit dark, and Kayde's emotions were quite heightened at the time of recording, so please be aware of that. If anyone is offended by the views or opinions expressed by Kayde in this week's episode, Kayde would like to extend his most sincere apology, for he knows what this subject matter can do to a person, and would like to let you all know that was never his intention.

Please listen to todays episode with an open mind and an open ear. Kayde hopes his pain could help someone heal or grow from their own trauma, and hopes he can let people know: You are not alone.

**FACT CORRECTION: I said the eldest of us was 3, when I meant to say 13, and even that was wrong. My mother left us alone to fend for ourselves when my sister (the eldest) was 14-15. I was in Primary school, Grade 3. So I would have been 6-7. Apologies.
