Episode 297 - The one when Mel sings
This week while Olly was a speedy roving photographer at home, Mel was in the company of bananas at Kirkdale. Confused? Read on… An old favourite returns (again), a bottle washes up and there are roving reports from Lake Claremont, Darwin, Manzini & Stratford-Upon-Avon. Abi’s away this week – no need to listen to the end.
Episode 296 - Hot and Gold
This week while Mel shares stories of her adventure to Umbagong parkrun, we discover that someone plugged the Hotline back in. Ingrid files a roving report from The Ponds and Alison comes to us from Stratford-Upon-Avon. We also have some bumper emails, Comm Games updates, plus all the usual fun with Dazzas and pronunciation challenges.
Episode 295 – Aidan Hobbs
Olly is back! Yes we know we didn’t tell you he was having a week off … but never fear, we didn’t miss any adventures. However, this week’s pod is full of fun with an interview with speedy parkrunner Aidan Hobbs, roving reports from Alison at Cambridge NZ and Sarah at Willoughby, and both Informants making an appearance.
Episode 294 - the new U
This week on the parkrun adventurers podcast, Mel shares the news of her visit to You Yangs parkrun, while we hear Roving Reports from Mark at the trial of the new Umbagong District parkrun, Lyndell at New Farm parkrun, Pippa at Rendlesham Forest parkrun and PK at Glenoma parkrun. And we celebrate the return of some familiar and favourite items, including Dazza’s, our Informant and the Consolidated Club report.
Episode 293 - Hackers
This week, Mel and TOC join a few adventurers for a frond at Kirkdale Reserve parkrun, PK joins the pirate club at Cairns parkrun, statesman Sarah checks in from Kununurra parkrun, and Sam catches up with a familiar Northern Territorian at Darwin parkrun. But closer to home, something is not quite right at Adventurer HQ. Better stock up on the Caramilk…
Episode 292 - Floods, Cows & Milkshakes
It’s raining men!! No not really… but NSW is flooding and Mel had a stressful visit to Wollongong, dodging cancellations before ending up at Cowpasture Reserve parkrun. Meanwhile, Olly popped up at North Sydney parkrun with the Idea’s Man! We also have news from Johan in Namibia and a special NAIDOC report from Ali. Plus all the fun from Canada Day, Dazza’s and the ongoing office industrial relations.
Love listening during my Freedom runs
Sadly Corona has stopped Parkrun. But not Parkrun adventures... so freedom runs with a podcast = happy Al
parkrun adventurers is the best :)
Thanks Mel & Team! We can hear the smiles in your voices which is cool. Love hearing the roving reports & learning about the different locations too. Hearing the participants stories is fun. I’m a technical retard and would love a way to search for a particular course/event review as the pod has inspired me to work toward the alphabet, I had a dream that some friends & I made a Xanadu parkrun for the X lol! Thanks for putting in the time & energy to entertain us. Missing you guys during the Non-parkrun Covid-19 times & hope you’re all keeping well.
So much fun!
We’ve loved listening to The parkrun Adventurers - especially on the way to and from all of our parkrun adventures! Mel and Scotty (and then later Mel and the Channel 5 news crew) have inspired us to travel far and experience the parkrun community whenever we went ! Thank you team!
