Have you ever finished work and kicked back with a nice cold generous dash of the famous purple Ink Gin? If your answer’s yes, then I’m super excited to tell you that I’ve just spoken with the man himself, Founder of INK gin & Husk Distilleries, Paul Messenger!
This bloke knows all the ins and outs of a good glass of rum (and gin), and it was my pleasure to have him join me as a guest speaker on Leap of Faith.
In this podcast, Paul takes you and me back to where it all started - Back to 2009 on a Caribbean cruise.
Paul’s a connoisseur when it comes to conjuring up a delicious brew, has spent multitudes of time and effort researching multiple brands and the technical aspects of how to make a good drop of rum.
He takes me through the days of self-doubt and relives the times where he would be thinking ‘I don’t know if I can do this?”... Yes, even this successful businessman had to overcome such fears and challenges. However, he’s a perfect example of how a well-planned feat executed with such precision and drive can take you to places that are beyond your wildest imagination and dreams.
Paul says “You’ve got to believe in yourself. There are no guarantees but that’s your best shot in life”. Yes, this classy bloke had to undergo a rather large Leap of Faith when taking the plunge from moving out of the shed and committing to a permanent place of business.
“Things come along and you’ve got to take advantage of opportunities as they arise”, Paul says. While juggling work and life, children and everything in between, Paul is a sure example of seeing how perseverance and doing the hard work pays off in multitudes.
