In 2017, she led 32 women from 24 countries up Mt Kilimanjaro, to set the world record for the highest altitude football match ever played. Kate Jacewicz has refereed them all. As a 12 year old, she stepped in to save the day at her brother's game at the Mudgereeba Junior Soccer Club when officials failed to show. Since then, she's gone on to referee in all ten seasons of the W-League and at the final of the Under 17 FIFA Women's World Cup.
