Together they discuss how they first learned about FASD, the role social workers play in assisting people with FASD and their families. They also examine outcomes, risk surrounding FASD and how social workers can become better informed in relation to this ‘invisible’ disability.

Nicole is currently undertaking a PhD focusing on the development and implementation
of Australia’s first FASD Indigenous Framework. They talk about this framework;
improving medical care for people with FASD; the importance of a strengths-based
approach in terms of FASD and creating equal partnerships between medical professionals
and people with FASD.
