Ep. 68: Committed as FU*K
When you publicly declare your commitment to doing Profit First right, we’ve got your back. It’s time to intercept your usual behavioral paths that are not serving you well. It’s time to stop acting cool and do the “uncool” to truly achieve financial freedom. It’s also time to banish the colloquialisms that are hogwash. Mike, Danielle and our fellow certified Profit First Professionals are here to guide and support you on your path to permanent profitability.
Ep. 67: Know When to Hold Them, to Fold Them, to Walk Away and to Run
Kenny Rogers succeeded in the chicken business, then failed, but came back and still exists with hundreds of locations in Southeast Asia. Today we talk about the very thin line between success and failure as a small business owner. A serious, MUST LISTEN TO episode for all small business owners. Your failure may be outside of your control — and you cannot and should not take it personally….we all can come back stronger and wiser.
Ep. 66: Notching Up Three Levers
Another take on reverse engineering based on owner’s pay, but then we go deeper at how moving the levers on number of sales transactions, price, and items per transaction can make a bigger impact. It’s not one thing that makes the difference, it’s the aggregate of many things that produce the biggest results. Check out the Notching Up Your Levers resource/calculator under RESOURCES at www.ProfitFirstNation.com
Ep. 65: DRIP-DRIP-DRIP
Billie Anne Grigg is back sharing as Profit First Professional’s Chief Guide and we dive into how to leverage DRIP accounts from two perspectives. The first perspective is for retainer-based businesses that need to manage “unearned revenue” from a cash perspective. The other perspective is how businesses with seasonality to their income over the course of the year can leverage a DRIP account to help them cover expenses during those leaner, lower revenue as expected months.
Ep. 64: Business Overhaul
Danielle shares the behind-the-scenes of a pilot she is filming for a show called, “Business Overhaul.” This business overall is really a journey of transformation with an owner burying her head in the sand when it came to the “numbers” to a ROCKSTAR owner who’s new mantra is “I LOVE NUMBERS - AND NUMBERS LOVE ME!!!” Get the scoop on the “starting challenges,” what was “overhauled” from a financial perspective in the process, and the 30-day results of this exciting television pilot.
Ep. 63: Money Mindset
Aimee LaLiberte a certified life and money coach + Profit First Professional walks us through a great model to help us profitably grow a healthier money mindset. Let’s flip the script on the thoughts, feelings and actions (or inaction we are taking) to own the financials of the business you own. #moneymindset #entrepreneur #freelancer
