Join us for a chat and a cuppa as we settle in for some Quality Time. Our sparkly new podcast offers you a peek behind the scenes at Queensland’s state theatre company. Hosted by our Artistic Director Lee Lewis, every fortnight we’ll be sharing conversations with our team members and artists. Hear how they came to work in the arts industry and the many exciting stories they’ve collected along the way.
6. Rory Killen – unselling a season
This week on the podcast our Artistic Director Lee Lewis sat down with our Database Trainer and Supervisor Rory Killen. In his role, Rory maintains the systems that help us connect with our audience — so that through time, we can better understand and accommodate your needs. In fact, it was Rory who helped rebuild our ticketing system after our theatre closed in March to assist everyone with the cancellation, donation, credit and refund of your tickets. It’s the geekier side of a theatre company but, just like the rigging of a set, an essential element of putting on a show.Theme music and sound design by Wil Hughes#QualityTimeWithQT
5. Renée Mulder – Australian aesthetic
This week on the podcast Lee Lewis is joined by an old friend, the accomplished designer Renée Mulder. Renée has worked in the industry for 12 years and has designed over 40 mainstage productions nationwide including Triple X, Boy Swallows Universe and our recently announced upcoming season of Mouthpiece by Kieran Hurley.Theme music and sound design by Wil Hughes#QualityTimeWithQT
