    Dr Tim Cooper - Coopers

    Dr Tim Cooper - Coopers

This week we catch with one of our favourite interviewees, Dr Tim Cooper.

Quite apart from being the Managing Director of the 159-year-old Coopers Brewery, Tim is one of those rare interviews that actually engages with the premise of a question and tries to actually provide an answer. Believe us when we say that is quite a novelty in news interviewing. For the listener, it means you will get much more out of a conversation with Tim Cooper, than you might expect.

In this episode we discuss Coopers 2021 results and hear whether Tim thinks Coopers was too slow in moving to cans, how Coopers can manage to stay relevant to new generations of beer drinkers, and also would Coopers ever consider buying a craft brewer. Spoiler alert, the answer is "yes, but..."

As you'll hear, this conversation went over time and even then there were at least half a dozen threads to the conversation that I would have loved to pursue, but just couldn't for time. Even so, there is plenty that we do discuss.

Boom is back, had to review.

Great podcast. From beer is a conversation to brews news week, the team will keep you up to date with all that’s happening in the industry of aussie craft beer.

Best bits are the below the fold long form excitable conversations and what’s happening with Broo

Entertaining and informative beer news every Friday!

Drinking good beer can only be improved by knowing what’s happening behind the scenes. I don’t work in the industry but find this podcast a really enjoyable way to hear the stories behind the beer. The presenters are down to earth, moderately opinionated, and only biased toward making the Australian beer industry the best it can be.

Boom.
