Reaching Peak Performance with Brian Hite Your Daily Chocolate

    • Personal Journals

Today's guest has a fascinating career story. Dr. Brian Hite is a stuntman and stunt coordinator on more than 150 shows and movies. He's an adjunct faculty at Grand Canyon University, Master Resilience Trainer and Performance Psychology Consultant for the US Army, an author, and host of a brand new podcast called Poking Holes in Blinders.
Brian begins by sharing some of his most memorable stunts, one involving being hit by a car and set on fire, which is pretty cool. But possibly cooler is his journey from being a stuntman to working in organizational and performance psychology, because of the impact he has on people's success, no matter what their age or what performance goal they want to attain. Brian emphasizes the importance of focusing on the process and setting conditions for success rather than solely chasing outcomes, and the interconnectedness of physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of human well-being. It's guaranteed that parts of this episode will hit home with you, and hopefully get you on a more mindful, purposeful and less self-critical path.
