Ezekiel invites us into watching and waiting with great expectation for God’s life-giving newness to break forth. As we watch and wait we will see things we haven’t seen before, including our own failures. But our sure and certain hope lies in the expectation that God will do what he said he will do. That he will call forth a new living creation in the midst of the deathly and decaying old one. Taking the parts of us we think are beyond saving, beyond hope, beyond redemption and breathing new life into our dry bones.
