Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #292 "Planet of Junk"
The 292nd episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast begins with a round of discussions about recently revealed, and sometimes unofficially leaked, upcoming Transformers toys. The Junkion named Junkyard is discussed first, then the 1986 Movie toy talk continues with Spike and his Exo-Suit. The toy train continues to track after that with impressions of the MPG-02 Getsuei, who also forms the right leg of the Raiden combiner. A quick look at possible Micro Machines of vehicles from the 2007 Transformers movie leads in to more quick impressions, this time for Drag Strip from the soon forthcoming Generations Legacy line. A pair of listener questions leads into a listener suggested segment where the cast takes groups of three and decides which is "fun", what goes in "my collection", and which gets destroyed by "Kremzeek". An extra short round of the recurring Bragging Rights segment then closes out another episode.
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #291 "Til All Are 2021"
Episode 291 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast looks back at 2021 and ahead to 2022. The retrospective begins with opinions on the objective best Transformer of the year before a small tilt occurs for the next topic where the cast provides their subjective favorites. Transformers TV and comic book releases are looked at next, with Cyberverse on the minds of the cast when thinking about the best media of the year. After a tongue-in-cheek look at the year's "Most 2020 Moment", the best-of segments are put on pause as the talk moves into scolding the worst toys and general developments for Transformers during the past year. Positive reflections return with a look at personal collecting achivements that occurred in the past twelve months. Predictions follow with both easy calls and less likely, wishful thinking predictions for what could be in store for Transformers in 2022. The recurring Bragging Rights segment closes another episode and another year of the show as usual.
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #290 "On the Skids"
In episode 290 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast, crew members discuss the rumors that Skybound Entertainment, publisher of the popular comic-series-turned-Amazon-Prime-streaming-cartoon Invincible, is looking to acquire the publishing rights of The Transformers. We speak to IDW's remarkable 16-year run and how times have changed, from the use of forums to source novice artists and fan feedback, to the way the focus and themes of the narratives have evolved with time. The discussion turns to toys, as ScottyP talks about his in-hand experience with Masterpiece MP53 Skids and MP54 Reboost, entries that are reminiscent of the 'Super Car' era. Super7's Ultimates Wave 3 are next on the agenda, with the eclectic mix of Wreck-Gar, Aliigatorcon, Tarn, and G2 Megatron all capturing the scattershot imaginations of the podcast team. Core Class Kingdom Hot Rod and Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Arcee earn a brief mention, before jumping into a more in-depth discussion of the Amazon exclusive Golden Disk collections Jackpot, Road Ranger, and Puffer figures. The episode concludes as it always does, with a round of bragging rights, where each member discusses what they've acquired since the last episode.
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #289 "No Thanks Given"
The Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast gathers on a holiday weekend to talk about the Transformers, starting with the latest rumors of an upcoming Amazon exclusive sub-line featuring the Wreckers. In-hand impressions of several Transformers Collaborative toys follow, beginning with the Jurassic Park themed set featuring Tyrannocon Rex and Autobot JP93. The J. Balvin themed J. Balvintron, plus cassette companions Energia Buzzsaw and Vibras Stripes, are discussed next before the Collaborative talk ends with quick-hit impressions of the just-arriving Draculus figure. A special topic follows which goes around the table to see which toy gimmicks that never seemed to hit their stride, in popularity or execution, the cast would like to see make a comeback. The series finale to Transformers Cyberverse has been made available for most of the world through Youtube or other means, so that gets some attention from the crew before the episode ends with the recurring Bragging Rights segment.
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #288 "Filler Episode"
The Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast presents its 288th episode which starts out with reaction to the news of the year long delay for the next installment in the Transformers live action film franchise, Rise of the Beasts. Along with this topic, the cast considers what imaginary "filler" toy-lines they would like to see if the movie's accompanying toys happen to get delayed alongside the film's release. Actually planned toys are the next topic on the slate, with just-revealed Studio Series toys from the Bumblebee movie such as Deluxe Class Brawn and Voyager Class Soundwave creating excitement. The Generations: War for Cybertron: Kingdom Blaster also comes up, with inevitable thoughts about an obvious repaint inspired by the name of this very podcast. Impressions of the first 45 minute long Cyberverse special released last week on Hasbro's Youtube channel comes next, followed by brief lamentations on IDW's ongoing Transformers run inspired by a listener's question. The episode concludes with the regularly occurring Bragging Rights segment.
Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast #287 "Pulse Con 2021"
Episode 287 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast covers all the latest Transformers Generations products revealed at the just-concluded Hasbro Pulsecon 2021. A look at the Voyager Class "Prime" Bulkhead starts things out, along with thoughts on how appropriate this new toy's design is for the character. The discussion moves along after that to provide thoughts on the remainder of the products from the upcoming Generations Legacy toy line that were shown off, including a new version of G2's Laser Optimus Prime and Deluxe Class entries Skids, Prime Arcee, Kickback and the first part of the new version of the Menasor combiner, Dragstrip. Opinions are provided about the price point of the Pulsecon exclusive Ravage set, then the show moves on to answer listener questions about recent Hasbro product reveal timing and all-time favorite repaints.
