The podcast for writer hands down

I applaud and thank you Val and Al for providing listeners with so much valuable information and in a genuinely warm and fun way. Your interview skills are outstanding and it is so so obvious how much you both love what you do, ensuring that ‘so you want to be a writer’ is a real pleasure to listen to every time. It’s very easy to binge listen to the podcast (yes, I do) or to revisit certain episodes again and again (yep). I have to add that elements of writing that might be learnt from formal writing courses might be learnt right here with you.
‘So you want to be a writer’ will provide many an aspiring author with the knowledge, and just as importantly, the inspiration to really work towards achieving their publication dreams. I LOVE this podcast! And so wonderful to have joined your closed Facebook group. I can’t wait to enrol in my next Australian Writers’ Centre course. Thank you!

The Best Podcast for Aspiring Authors & Writers

I searched high and low for a decent podcast to listen to, only to find many monotone podcasts where I had trouble absorbing the information. The playful banter between Val and Al makes this podcast much more engaging and it feels natural for the listener. I've learned so much and managed to meet Allison at two festivals and Val when she generously opened up some mentoring time to listeners of the podcast. For these two, writing isn't just something they do, it's something they love to share and their generosity extends beyond the podcast as they constantly boost those around them to greater heights. Thanks for everything ladies, you're both legends!
