What this podcast contains Discussed in this Episode:
This Weeks Podcast was Created after a Question from Trish:
“I am currently in the middle of setting up a calm corner/area within my senior preschool room (4-5years) my kids understand that this area is to be used when they are feeling overwhelmed or just need a little break away. Would love for ideas on what I can add to this area”
✅ Everyone is different. When you create a calm area ask children what they would like to calm them.
✅ Teach how to take a break and what type of break they need. Ie calm corner, toilet, drink, food & movement break.

Must Listen

I am a psychotherapist who has a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a psychology based PhD in parenting. For years I have been working predominantly with kids on the ASD spectrum. Over the years I would say at least 75% of my knowledge and strategies in this area have come from Sue’s podcasts and webinars. She has a wealth of knowledge that she generously imparts via her podcasts and website and for this I am very grateful ❤️

I have recently been listening to Sue Larkey’s podcasts and find them to be amazing. I am the parent of a 6yo boy with ASD and anxiety and find the information incredibly useful and empowering. I listen to the podcasts on my way to pick up my children from school and always take something from it. Thank you Sue for sharing your knowledge.
