Families Talk about Their Submissions
In this episode, Troy talks to Jo Cross and Susan Hoffmann about their submissions to the Royal Commission. Jo explains how cathartic it was to talk about the positive and negative experiences over the years and how she wrote a submission and also had a private session with a Commissioner. Susan explained what motivated her to submit her story to the Royal Commission in writing. She explains how important she felt it was to tell her story of the barriers she faced in getting her child access to an inclusive and ordinary life.

Talking about Legal Issues
Troy talks to Oliver Moore from Your Story Disability Legal Support, a free legal service independent from the Royal Commission. They talk about privacy, confidentiality and safety of making a submission and the legal support that Your Story will provide. They provide advice about who can access their support and how they can work with people needing their legal advice. Oliver explains that people with disabilities and their families have until 30th June 2022 to apply for a private session with a Commissioner and until 30th December to submit information and experiences to the Disability Royal Commission. Oliver explains the role of Your Story and how to contact them:
